I'm trying to stay focused on my goals while keeping myself emotionally stable.

It's been a while since I last took the time to write about myself. A lot has changed since then. It feels like it's been ages, but it's only been a month and a half. I've made some of the changes I was hoping to make, and things have turned out better than I expected.

Days are going by faster now. I've met new people, started a new job, moved in with my grandma, and changed my entire daily routine.

For the first time in a while, I feel like my future looks brighter, even if I'm still not where I want to be.

New chapter: my job, goals and expectations

I'll be honest, I don't really like my job that much. It's something I've done before, surrounded by the same type of people I've worked with in the past.

Three months ago, I would've told myself I wanted to do something completely different. But now, I really appreciate the opportunity to work in a new place, even if I'm doing almost the same thing as before.

It was surprisingly easy to adapt from the beginning. I think I approached this job with a different perspective, and that made all the difference. Even though I had a pretty negative experience with this type of work before, coming back to it has felt like starting something new.

It's like returning to a place you already know, but as a completely different person.

I feel more mature and more capable of doing better than I did last time. And the best part? I feel less pressure than before.

No one expects much from me here. I can mess something up, and everyone will probably be like, "Oh, it's fine, he's new." Lol.

I don't have to prove anything to anyone. Not what I'm capable of, not my previous experience. I don't care as much about my professional image or what I'm supposed to represent.

And honestly, it's nice not having a supervisor or leadership role for once. Whatever amount of work or effort I put in now is because I genuinely feel like it, not because I feel responsible for everyone else.

It's been surprisingly relaxing so far. And somehow, that's made my most hated type of job, call centers, a little more enjoyable.

Outside of work

But enough job talk. Let's talk about what's been keeping me busy outside of work.

I've been trying to spend less time on my phone, and I've set some limits to avoid doomscrolling. My biggest flex right now is how much my average screen time has dropped.

Work keeps me busy, but when I get home, I still feel the need to catch up on everything. So I started looking for something that could keep me occupied while also being something I genuinely enjoy.

And that something is football.

Thank God it's football season, because it's been my main hobby this past month. I manage two fantasy football leagues (here's the link in case you'd like to check them out), so I've been busy checking stats, keeping up with players, and watching as many games as possible.

I'd also say that's why I've been eating so much lately. I hate watching a game without snacks. It's part of the experience, okay?

I'm not drinking as much, though, since I have to get up early for work the next day. Priorities, I guess.

Wrapping up

Anyway, it's been a fun month. I wish I had more time to write and stay creative, but I'm pretty sure I'll find the time eventually.

I feel like I'm entering a new phase of my life, and it's been a bit of a rollercoaster. But this time, I already know how big the fall can be, and I'm not as scared of what's coming next. So I might as well enjoy the ride.

I'm not on the rollercoaster I'd prefer to be on just yet, but I'm getting there.

I don't know who's been reading my posts, but I hope this resonates with anyone who might be feeling a little lost or unsure about where they're headed in life. It's okay not to be where you want to be yet. Take the time to figure yourself out, appreciate where you are, and enjoy the ride you're on.

We'll see where it takes us.
